Who can apply?
Are you age 12-15, smart and active, passionate for life, a future leader, and ready to speak up? You are attending one of our partnering schools in Metro Manila, Mindanao, Santa Rosa, or Visayas? You are inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals and you want to make a difference in implementing them? You have already shown in your school or community how to bring together people with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, views, orientations or faiths to work for a shared goal?
Yes to all that?
Great, then you can apply for our Leadership Camp 2016 and discover how to become a Bridging Leader who champions one of the Sustainable Development Goals through your school.
Block the camp dates 21-22 May 2016 in your calendar now. The venue is at British School Manila in Bonifacio Global City.
What will you learn?
At Leadership Camp 2016 you will join fun-filled interactive workshops where you learn how to lead yourself and others, boost your confidence and mind power, be a light for unity in diversity, and bridge social divides to implement a sustainable development goal.
Guided by our team of passionate leaders and experts from influential partner organizations, you will discover purpose and motivation inside yourself, which are the sparks to ignite your leadership flame.
Is there a challenge after the camp?
Yes there is! Working with your team mates during the camp, you will design a project to implement a Sustainable Development Goal and practice your leadership with your fellow students, teachers, parents and other partners, starting right after the camp.
Your team will earn credits and compete for leadership awards as you successfully design, implement and deliver your project over a one-year period, while sharing your experiences with your camp mates in the other schools.
How will you apply?
Discover what you need to know in the application form. Get the password from your school's coordinator for Leadership Camp 2016 to access the online application.
Then click the APPLY button, complete and submit your form and email us your photo, motivation letter, parental consent, confirmation of funding, and a poster showing how you have already brought together people for unity in diversity and with what result.
We will review your application in consultation with your school, and let you know if you are selected to join the camp!
What does it cost?
There is a registration fee of P1,500 to cover the cost of meals, camp shirt, and materials. It can be paid in cash when you arrive and register at the camp on Saturday morning by 8 am.
Working with your school, parents and/or supporting organizations, you will secure your funding for travel and accommodation costs, and make your arrangements for travel and accommodation. Our organizing team will help you with recommendations, as onsite residential accommodation is not available at the venue.
Become your best!
The world needs your leadership to make our societies and economies more equitable, prosperous, and sustainable for all people, and we are excited to support you in your challenge to become a Bridging Leader and a #Hero2030 for the Sustainable Development Goals.
