Natalie in the Light, Inc. was established to empower a new generation of young leaders, by helping young people in developing leadership, practicing a healthy and balanced life, and making a making a difference in their communities. In short, it is about pursuing a healthy mind, a healthy life, and making a difference. We see three reasons why this is tremendously important.

First, youth holds the greatest untapped potential in society. They are bubbling with positive energy, a "can do" mentality, and a focus on action.

Second, young people are discovering and choosing their values for life. And they are becoming aware of their self-value. Taken together, their value to themselves and to society increases all the time.

Third, they will be society's leaders in the future. And they are already shaping up for their roles now, both individually and collectively, at an earlier age than ever before in human history.

Natalie showed us incredible leadership as she battled with cancer. After suddenly seeing her world turned upside down, she bravely took the lead during those months of unprecedented challenges.

Our work to empower youth is inspired by her shining example, and by the readiness of young people in Manila and around the world to step up and let their best come out, starting now.
